Importance of Values
Values are individual beliefs that motivate people to act one way or another. They serve as a guide for human behaviour. Generally, people are predisposed to adopt the values that they are raised with.
At Navitas we have values for staff members and some of the current values we need to identify are:
Deliver Promises: Delivering on your promises is doing what you say you are going to do when you say you are going to do it. Every time you follow through on a commitment, small or large, you build trust. And if you go above and beyond, you make an even stronger impression.
Clear Communication: Effective use of oral, visual, written, and aural modes of communication signifies the professional competence and knowledge expected in a leader while engendering the trust of those being led. Good communication in the workplace ensures employees have the information they need to perform well, builds a positive work environment, and eliminates inefficiencies.
Innovate and Respect: Innovation in the workplace refers to introducing new ideas, services, products, business processes, or methodologies in a work environment. Innovative solutions can improve existing products or services, solve problems, and improve the ROI or productivity of a particular business process. Respect reduces stress, maximizes productivity and collaboration, increases employee satisfaction, and creates a fair work environment. These factors lead to less employee turnover, improved staff performance, and reduced time and costs spent on training and onboarding.
Collaborate: Collaboration in the workplace is a work style that helps employees work together to achieve a common goal in ways that benefit a company and its employees. Collaboration is an essential part of teamwork and helps a successful team function most effectively.
